Siblings stick together

Zade made his way into the naughty spot yesterday morning.  It had been a loooong time since he had to be put there and he was not too pleased with having the 2 minute timeout.  Of course he was howling and crying  like crazy and the babies wandered over to check things out.  When they saw him standing there, they still weren't sure what was going on but they lined up and offered their silent support through his crisis. I thought the sight was too funny, I couldn't resist snapping a shot:

Snow Day, Beach Day - Potayto, Potawto

To all our friends and family whose outside currently looks like this:

Please feel free to come visit us and take advantage of our last winter here on the island.  Because while you may have spent the morning doing this:

We spent the morning doing this:

It was Miss and Misters first walk on the beach.  Last time we went they were still crawlers.  Miss ran and ran and ran.  All 4 made friends with the kids set up next to us and played for a few hours in the beautiful warm sunshine, only a hint of breeze.

Did I mention it's currently 74 degrees?  Just sayin'......

We are blessed.

The week in reviews- in pictures!

Its Friday again?!  Already?!  Sheesh!

So, before the pics, I am looking for some feedback via comments about this blog.  I think of alot of different posts I'd like to do but not really sure of what people are intrested in.  My SAHM life?  Recipes?  Workouts?  Or just the kids and the fam?  Let me know, if you would like.  I don't want to bore the majority of followers....

Sunday, Nev wore another new dress.  She got a few for Christmas.  She is growing out of everything!  I love this one.  I thought I'd take her outside to snap a couple pics - better lighting- and poof!  she was off like lightening.  She would not stop walking.  She and Ammon are allowed in the back, its all gated and they are safe.  The older boys can go out front together and the twins always bawl when they are left behind.  So she was ready to explore...on turbo mode.

Then I brought her back in to get a decent pic and then of course the brothers ( in matching ties) too:

I know that most of our extended families are buried in snow but it was HOT here today!  So we did popcorn on the patio for morning snack -

Once we were back inside and waiting for supper, I found these 2 on the couch just hanging out, being happy

Words of Wisdom to remember this year

And to end on a funny note...

So far in 2013

Just a few pics from this week, because these 4 are just so darn cute!

Nev climbed into the blocks bin and stayed there for quite a while.
Ammon was ticked there was no room for him, although he did try sitting on top.

Watching the psychotic squirrels running around outside.
So not allowed on the table but I had to snap a pic before telling them to get down.

Singin' in the Rain

I am in love with Miss' new shirt.  It was a Christmas gift I got her for $4.99.  Orig $30.  Thirty dollars yall!  I remember back in the day I would totally not even blink at spending that or more on a shirt for me.  Now a price like that seriously makes me want to gag, especially for kids clothes!  I mean really!  Anyway, here she is in all her cute and on the go hence blurry sweetness.

In other news, Ammy has a hernia.  Not too big of a deal, it's minor.  But he had his own solo trip to the Peds office this morning.  He loved the one on one date with mama.

The Holidays in Review

I am totally such a slacker!  I can't believe how behind this post is.  Usually Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are posted in real time, not over a week later!  Anyway, here it is.

Christmas was awesome.

We spent Christmas Eve with our friends and their little guy.  All the kids love them so much and it was fun to share our (awesome) meal together and all the excitement and hype that comes with little kids on Christmas Eve.

Christmas PJs!!

Dipping Turtles

Chasing Nev around and around the couch- burning off that energy!

A BIG, HEART-FELT THANK YOU to all 3 sets of Grandparents for making this Christmas possible.  Thank you so much.  We could not have done it without you.

It was the first morning that Dace and Zade both understood what was going on and were so excited.  No scared, weirded out, shy moments, no sir.  It was full steam ahead.  When we came downstairs, true to their individual characters, Dace went straight for the presents, Zade went straight to the table for the food spread.

Because what good is Christmas morning without a meltdown....or two?
The 2 favorite gifts!

Best stocking stuffers ever - silly straw glasses!

So the day after Christmas, which we celebrate in Canada as Boxing Day, I left Dallin and the kids and all their new playthings to fly out to my Brother's wedding in Portland, OR.  It was a blur of a weekend but so much fun.  His new wife is so great and looked like a porcelin doll on their wedding day.  Almost all of my family was there and it was so great to see everyone again.  It had been over a year since I had seen any of them, more for some.  Of all the pictures I took, though, I don't have any of the whole family on the wedding day.  I'll post that and more once I get them.

New Years Eve was the day after I returned.  We kept it low-key...somewhat.  I cooked up a Chinese Food feast, we let the boys stay up an extra hour, then D and I watched The Dark Knight Rises (SOOOO good!), caught about 45 minutes of NYC festivities, kissed at the ball drop then went to bed.

The Christmas season was a great one.  Full of fun and peace and family time and good food and snuggles.  Just the way it should be.  Onto 2013.  This is OUR year....
