Sunday with Friends

Yes we do exist! We were ready for church on Sunday and thought we better snap a couple pics since everyone was looking so dashing. Proof that Dace doesn't live by himself.
Then in the afternoon, our friends Emily, Frank and their son Xavier came out for a visit. Dace and Xavier are 3 days apart and I met Emily at the birth center. The boys played great, we chatted, went for a walk on the beach where both boys took a nap in their strollers, then we BBQ'd, played some guitar hero and the boys played some more. It is so fun to watch the boys play together. They only had one fight over a toss ring in which they both stood their ground! It was quite amusing. It was a great afternoon. We are so lucky to have such great friends

Dace: Look, mom! He likes chewing on tupperware too!

Xavier: Great. Another picture.

This is the coolest thing ever! Playing with the blinds is so much better than toys.

Our new puppy

Here's snarkin' at you, kid!

Ever notice how babies are like puppy dogs? Dace sure is. For instance, he chews on my slippers. He is always slobbery. He crawls around with his tongue hanging out or carrying something in his teeth. He rolls around in his favorite blanket and eats everything off the floor. He cries when he sees the vacuum. His favorite new sound to make is a high-pitched whimper and he shivers when he pees. That about sums it up!
He has cut 2 new teeth in the last 48 hours. His top middle was coming in for a few days. You could see it very clearly and then Tuesday it turned white and I knew it would cut through that night. And it did. He woke up a few times that night but went back to sleep easily enough. Then this morning I had him on the floor and he was laughing and I noticed another one! His upper right eye tooth came in just like that, out of nowhere! So now he has both upper fangs, one center and his lower centers. He loves a cold celery stick to practice on.

Eating Treats

This reminds me of my own childhood and all the "Mr. Dressup snacks" we ate while sitting on the floor watching our favorite show.

What I inherited from Grampa

you might have to turn the volume up a bit to get the whole affect.

Dace's Faces

The number of facial expressions this kid has just astounds me. Here is his latest favorite...
I was bored during bathtime so he grew a beard...
His favorite hideout spot - behind the couch, in front of the patio door. Amazing light. I need to figure out how to do a photo shoot of him back there. He crawls back there and snacks on the electrical chord.

Daddy's hair gel

FREE attitude with Mohawk!

Dace was in the bathroom with us when Dallin was doing his hair. He was watching quite intently so Dallin decided to give him the same treatment. I love it! (And clearly, Dace wears this jumper way too much but not for long. It's bulging at the snaps)
