Kid stories and other randomness

Zade - On Friday, Zade was the first one up.  Very odd.  At about 7:14, he comes into our room, walks straight to Dallin's side and says in a groggy but excited voice, "Happy Birthday, Daddy!"

He left shortly to go do his morning business.  Based on the sounds I could hear while still laying in bed were - having his morning pee, getting something from the fridge then leaving the house.  Seconds later, the door opened and closed and then he was at my side of the bed.

"Mommy, wake up. It's a really nice day out on the porch today."
-It is?
"Yeah. Come smell outside."
-Why?
"Because it's yummy out there."

Then today, Sunday afternoon, he was in bed with Dad and Dace watching a movie after church.  I came in to have a 20 minute nap before starting supper.  As soon as I walked in, he saw me and patted my pillow.
"Mommy, I want you to come sleep right here."
-ok!

I laid down facing the other way, curled up and relaxed.  Just as I started to drift off, I felt him lean on my shoulder, looking at my face.  He stayed there for a few seconds then bent down and gave me the softest, sweetest little kiss on the cheek.  It was in that moment that I knew he was aware of all the times I tuck him in and give him kisses when he's sleeping.  I tuck them in at bedtime and then come back one last time before I go to bed.  Somehow in that kiss, I knew he knew that I did that.  Because where else would he learn to give such sweet little kisses to a sleeping face.

Yes she does but so do you, Zade!

He loves his lil Miss.

Look what's in our front yard!!

Is there anything sweeter than a lil Miss all fresh and cozy, ready for bed?  No I don't think there is.
Dace - (Today before supper), "Daddy is my second best buddy in the whole wide world!"
ME - "Second?  Who is your first?"
-"Bumblebee, of course!"

(sorry, Dad.  You just got trumped by a 6inch transformer.)

(Before bed)
-"Miss is my favorite baby...and Ammy is my favorite brother."
-What about ZayZay?
-"He's just a bully all the time."

Twins - We were at a mall playground on Friday.  All four quickly scattered in different directions but Miss lingered behind.  There was a lot of kids and she had to warm up to the chaos.  When she finally ventured out not too far in front of us to a tunnel, a little blonde boy slightly shorter than her quickly made his way to her.  He patted her arm and got right into her personal space.  Out of nowhere, Ammy appears and steps right in between Miss and this little blonde punk who was making a move on his sister!  Ammy was staring down at him with this look on his face like 'What do you think you're doing here?', this kid was eyeball level with Ammy's now puffed up chest and didn't take long to turn on his heel and go find another cutie.  Dallin and I were cracking up, sad we didn't get it on video.  In a nutshell, it was a futuristic glimpse at high school. I always said that Miss was so special God had to send her with a personal bodyguard.  Yup...nailed it!
