First Taste for Zade

Happy!

While I was bathing Zade last night, Dace came up behind me and tapped me on the shoulder. I turned around and he smiled and said "happy!" It was so cute! I have no idea how he decides which words to try or what but I definitely needed that pick-me-up at the moment. He continued saying it proudly for the rest of the night. Pretty sure it's his new favorite.

Dace always gets so excited when i tell him we can call gramma to tell her his new words. but as soon as the phone is on his ear, he gets shy. so today when he was in a chatty mood, i recorded this.

It's been a while since I posted a foodie pic. This was Dallin's bday breakfast- french toast with fresh cream and mixed summer berries. Delish!

Father's Day

I have wanted to attempt these ties for a while and so today was the perfect celebration to try it out. Both tutorials I found online- my sister sent me the one for Dace's tie here and then Zade's onesie tie I found through Heather's blog here. Both were really simple. Dace's was a little tricky and took a bit of time to figure it out but now that I know what to do, I'm gonna whip him up a whole wardrobe of ties to rock the nursery in.

We ate a late lunch/early dinner after church- grilled ribeyes, grand rolls, cran-raspberry sparkler, baked corn on the cob (if you have never baked corn on the cob, try it now! It will rock your world and you will never steam or boil it again.) and banana cream pie. Zade went to bed at 630- his Sundays are always a mess without a proper nap schedule and Dace is on the couch with us with a bowl of popcorn soon to retire for the evening himself.

Happy Father's Day shoutout to all the grandpa's out there. We love you all- Dana, Larry and Randy.
