Weighing In

A few people have been asking about measurements and I finally got around to measuring both of them. Here is where they stand:

Dace, age 2, 28 lbs, 35 inches
Zade, 3.5 mos, 18.6 lbs, 24 inches

Yup, only 21 months and 10 pounds separating the two. Crazy!

The Birthday Party

The party was Dace, Seth and then 4 girls. Both boys are such chick magnets.

Zade was livin' it up.

Zade was totally engrossed by the cake's train....

that's because it actually moved around the track! It was a huge hit with Dacimus. A great big thank you shoutout to my mom who sent it for the event. In case you can't see it clearly, there are 2 dinosaurs in the middle. Dace's favorite cartoon in the morning is Dinosaur train so I worked with that theme.

He got some great new toys and books...

...and a brand new motorbike trike! Now he can go riding with Grandpa Randy! ;)

The party was a lot of fun. Dace has been so excited all week for it. Everytime we'd mention it, his face would light up and he'd squeal with delight. He rang in his birthday with a mysterious fever last night but it broke shortly after Dallin gave him a blessing and he got back to sleep. This morning he woke up fine as can be. His friends showed up at 1 and the party went for a couple hours. He turned 2 but most of his friends are 5 and up. We are so grateful Dace is so loved by everyone.

Dace is 2

Yup- two! Dace and I went to get groceries for the party yesterday and as I was driving there, it occurred to me that it was Dace's last day as a 1 year old. Tears rolled down my cheeks as I thought about the great baby he was, the wonderful little boy he is and how fast the time in between has gone. Why do they have to grow up so fast?
The party starts at 1. I gotta go get ready but I'll try and post the party pics sometime tonight.

I watched a bit of Michael Jackson's THIS IS IT last night and got a couple cute clips of Dace dancing.

The second video is from today after church. I changed Zade's poopie and then moments later, he had another one. I jokingly chided him that pampers don't grow on trees and he thought it was the funniest thing ever. It was probably the weird voice I used but whatever. His giggle is adorable.

Happy 3 months old

Zade was 3 months yesterday (May 18). A rough estimate of holding him on our bathroom scale weighs him in at just under 18 pounds. Personally, I think he looks a little malnourished in the face. haha! We still need to measure him for length. While Dad was here, Zade started sleeping through the night, averaging a 12 hour stretch. He's not 100% consistent yet but definitely on his way. I am pretty sure he has started teething. He is super drooly and tries his best to bite off his fists but he is just as mild tempered as his older brother was during the process. He loves to giggle and tell long, funny stories and loves being on the move looking at new things. He watches Dace play with such intensity you can tell he wishes he could play with him already. Oh those two are going to be the best of buddies. I can't wait to watch them grow up together!

Look past the cute baby chub and check out his features. Once that fat melts off, the boy is going to be stunning!

Mother's Day
